NEW: cruising sailboat by Atlantic

A complete new hull shape with its ergonomic cockpit shape and deck lay-out. Course this aluminium sailing yacht is also equipped with the twin balance rudders, hydraulic lifting keel and wing bulb (anno 2004).

The Atlantic yard has high hopes for this new 48 footer.

Because even the largest ocean trip ends in a sheltered bay or small harbour, it may not lack on the facilities on board. Luxury woodwork with pear- , wenge- and walnut wood will create a quite atmosphere below deck.

Al these types of wood can be found in the lightweight interior. The Atlantic 48 is highly manoeuvrable through the built in retractable bowthruster. Because this thruster is completely folded away in the hull, it remains to keep the beautiful line of the hull intact.

Together with naval architect Dick Zaal and interior designer Dick Young the Atlantic yard has found a complete new path in the custom production.

Except that the hull of this world sailor is made of aluminium, also new on this 48 feet was the fact that the interior was made from super light sandwich material and mast and boom from carbon.
