Laura Dekker - the honour guest of the MiniCat Fun Weekend

It was great, it was fun but it was too short!!

Our annual MiniCat Fun Event took place on the weekend 30 June – 2nd July 2017 at the magnificent lake Como, Italy and we had the honour to welcome between us for the first time our star guest Laura Dekker .

The fact that Laura is a wonderfully skilled sailor is obvious but she is also a wonderful person. Laura shared with us her experience from her trip around the world and she is truly inspirational person for our customers especially the young ones who enjoyed sailing MiniCat with her.

MiniCat is definitely an International brand now which is proven by the fact that this year we had over 120 guests from 13 different countries and 60+ MiniCats of which 50 entered the MiniCat Fun Regatta.

We were also extremely lucky with the weather and so the Regatta was a real competition this time with winners in 3 categories:

310 models – winner: Severin Fenner from Switzerland

420 models – winner: Ulrich Pfluger from Germany

460 models – winner: Alena Tolkacheva from Russia

Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to all participants. It was a truly memorable weekend.
