Minerva chooses BMT Smart performance monitoring

BMT Smart, the BMT Group's fleet and vessel performance management company reports the successful installation of its vessel performance monitoring system on board two Minerva Marine Inc. chemical tankers, Minerva Leo and Minerva Tychi.

For accurate performance management, the BMT Smart system combines data collected automatically on-board from the navigation and automation systems, with data only available on shore, such as Hindcast Metocean data.

BMT's web-based Smartfleet application enables the Minerva Marine team to assess and gain insight into the factors impacting the vessels' performance. The system also allows shore based personnel to make decisions on when intervention may be required to help restore performance.
