Significant award

South Boats IOW Limited (designer), Blount Boats (builder), and Atlantic Wind Transfers (operator) have jointly won ‘The Most Significant Vessel of the Year 2016’ award at the International Workboat Show in the USA.

South Boats IOW Ltd has developed trans-Atlantic relations with Blount Boats, Rhode Island, USA to build under licence its South Boats IOW 21m Wind Farm Support Vessel design for Atlantic Wind Transfers’ operations. The first US built offshore wind service vessel started operation of its crew vessel at the Block Island Deepwater wind farm in May 2016.

The company views this UK Export agreement of its high quality product as a significant advancement in the growth of its businesses and customer support services. The kitted design is an excellent opportunity for South Boats IOW to forge new worldwide partnerships.
