MasterCraft Boats UK extends tender range

British tender builder MasterCraft has extended its tender range with the new MasterCraft XT21

British tender supplier MasterCraft has extended its tender range with a new 6.5m ‘Crossover’ boat, the MasterCraft XT21. Positioned between the newly unveiled XT23 and XT20, the XT21 is designed as a middleweight tender that can handle a variety of watersports and towboats with minimum input from the driver.

The new XT21, which is to be launched at Dusseldorf Boat Show, has been designed with practicality in mind; with minimum bow rise MasterCraft claims that the tender ensures ‘performance in every on-water activity, from massive wakes to endless waves and smooth skiing.’

Equipped with the MasterCraft’s award winning Gen 2 Surf System, which sculpts the waves to the user’s preference. The XT21 has been designed so that even inexperienced operators are able to create the desired effect with a simple touchscreen system, perfect for hands on owners and guests who want to take charge.

While the aesthetics of the tender may not scream elegance, the XT MasterCraft range is designed to be functional and fun for a broad marketplace. However, the style of the tender can be customised to the owner’s preference with a variety of storage layouts, colours and speaker layouts to better suit the mothership. A number of lifting options are also available in conjunction with the superyacht’s crane positions and storage location.

“The custom install of the Yanmar 8LV diesel engine has been a driving factor in the growing popularity of dedicated MasterCraft watersports tenders on larger superyachts,” says Michael Hardicker, managing director of MasterCraft Boats UK.

“We’re consistently able to show that diesel power is every bit as good as petrol for sports boats,” continues Hardicker. “It gives all the advantages of economy, durability and reliability, with no loss of power. Being able to refuel while at sea is a real advantage for many captains and is a significant benefit for superyachts spending longer periods offshore.”

Following the delivery of the tender from the facility in Tennessee, MasterCraft offers a five-year protection plan they call ‘MasterCare’.
