Space Galore

This 140m concept is the latest design to come from New York-based Impossible Productions in collaboration with Globe Regal Yachting. Directors Veronika Schmid and Alistair Gill talk us through the main features of the concept.

This vessel stands out from others in the same category thanks to her contemporary exterior styling which features a substantial amount of structural glass. The transparent material acts as a styling component while enhancing life on board by breaking down the barriers between the interior and exterior. All forward-facing interior spaces have overhead glazing to improve the feeling of height. The forward-facing, double-height mezzanine owner’s suite benefits the most from this glazing as it becomes a penthouse-style living space. This yacht is equipped with 22 guest suites and an array of entertainment spaces.

Her 140m LOA and beam of 19.6m allow for the inclusion of two helicopter pads with hangers, a double-height entrance lobby with full-height aquarium, two expansive tender garages and a casino. The layout features a bar adjacent to a nightclub with a glass-bottomed pool. Another pool is located in the spa which is situated near to an expansive gym and sauna area. Each of these spaces can be exposed to the outside environment thanks to foldable hull doors. other features of the design include a 3D cinema, a large outdoor swimming pool and two Jacuzzis on the aft main deck that partially overhang the hull to provide a unique view of the sea below.

Access to the sea is provided via stairs in the hull amidships, with access also available to a cocktail lounge and two beach clubs on the lower decks. To aid the operation of the vessel, we have included a galley on the tank, guest and bridge decks. The general arrangement also includes an expansive humidor and showcase wine vault, three meeting rooms, a formal dining space that can cater for more than 50 guests and a 270-degree observation lounge at the bow.

The interior is designed to show the many facilities available in this vessel but is completely flexible and we anticipate a full redesign of the interior to meet the needs of the client.
