The A-Team approach

Having a large, voluminous yacht doesn’t mean you cannot explore shallow waters in the Caribbean, or other heavenly seas. The A400 offers a 100m yacht without excluding the possibility of cruising these waters, says Carole Fournon at the A Group.

We have designed an innovative 100m project with a draught of only four metres and a speed in excess of 20 knots. Designed to the LY3 code, the A400 offers a volume of 3,600gt and combines the pleasure of cruising the world with incredible comfort at sea.

With this design, we are taking advantage of interior design features such as a full-beam duplex master stateroom on the upper deck, with extending side terraces and direct access to the vast private sundeck and its Jacuzzi. The large windows in the VIP and guest cabins enhance the interaction between the guests and the outside environment. Additionally, the VIP cabin is equipped with a private fold-down sea terrace.

A large aft beach club area, with connected spa and gym facilities, provides well-being and relaxing areas, all with direct access to the sea via the fold-down transom. A dedicated diving store and equipment room are installed in the large tender garage.

Exterior living space is also predominant aft on the main and upper decks. They include an eight-metre-long pool and sunbathing area, a dining area and a very comfortable, vast salon.

The private cinema, equipped with the latest technology, the well proportioned galley, and service and crew areas provide all the amenities expected of a 100m yacht.

The hull design guarantees a low drag ratio, allowing us to take advantage of the low-consumption power system. The A400 is designed to deliver cleaner operation with self-contained, minimal-discharge systems and exhaust-cleaning technology, allowing safe cruising in the most protected areas. We are developing an underwater power generator to take advantage of energy created by the ocean.

We designed this project with construction efficiency in mind to ensure a straightforward operation. With very slick lines, we are introducing innovative construction techniques combining glass and high-quality composite elements.
