Zuccon unveils Teti

ITALY, Rome. Zuccon Superyacht Design, the research and development division of Zuccon International Project and led by Bernardo Zuccon, has presented Teti, a 94m motoryacht concept.

“With the 94m Teti we have introduced new features without drifting from the idea of creating something timeless. Even though this concept is tied to the ongoing research we are conducting, it is the work and forward thinking process that are key to delivering something special in the current market,” explains architect and designer Bernardo Zuccon.

An experimental project, Teti is based on research conducted by the studio to achieve the right balance between internal and external spaces and how these areas connect and communicate. The designer expresses how, often on superyachts in this size range, the exterior spaces lose out to the interior. This fact extends to the exterior styling as well, which can fail to reflect and connect with the feeling of the interior.

While the Italian studio is confident that Teti’s exterior and interior styling and 'formal' features will appeal to the market, it is the first concept where the desire to create something that is timeless was given less emphasis in favour of experimentation and reliability.

“We have seen quite a few formal, functional and technological experiments that have been presented to the market recently,” says Bernardo. “While these have made a strong impact, they were actually mere stylistic exercises and were soon forgotten.”

Guests are accommodated across eight en suite cabins, which are spread between the main and lower deck, while the owner’s level – above the upper deck – can be configured as a private deck or used as two master suites. It is a solution that will appeal to owners wanting to charter their vessel, with both en suite rooms fitted with a studio and walk-in closets.

A departure from the more traditional layout, Zuccon Superyacht Design has moved the key social and entertainment areas from the main and lower deck to the upper deck. Forward on this deck is an outdoor seating area, swimming pool and a strong link to an internal dining lounge. A large dining table and another pool area are located on the aft terrace. In doing this, more space is available in the aft section of the vessel to accommodate four tenders between eight and 10 metres. These are housed between the aft beach club and the main deck.

Should the owner wish to have a drive-in tender bay, similar to that featured on J'ade, one can be incorporated on the port side of the vessel, allowing a tender to be navigated into the floodable beach club. While a second, more traditional, starboard garage can host another 10m tender. The remaining two 10m tenders are stored on the main deck.
