Numarine delivers second 26XP

Numarine has launched and delivered the second 25.7-metre semi-custom yacht from its 26XP series.

The expedition-style 26XP series is built with a full-displacement hull and features technological advancements that ensure she is better equipped for long range cruising. Among these is her bulbous bow which helps to stabilise the boat and to extend her range. Additionally, she features what Numarine calls it’s ‘silent package’ which incorporates lithium-ion batteries for silent use of onboard systems such as air-conditioning and lighting for up to 12 hours.

Featuring an exterior and interior designed by Can Yalman, Numarine’s longtime collaborator, her interiors stretch across two and a half decks. The master suite is spacious and includes an en-suite study, a portside lounge, and a large bathroom. Additionally, 26XP features two VIP cabins and one twin cabin. On deck, she has three settees on the bow and an open dining area that opens up from the main saloon in the aft where guests can reach a swimming platform for fun in the sun.

Featuring angular windows and a vertical bow, naval architect Umberto Tagliavini has utilised his previous modernist design from Numarine’s larger hull, the 32XP. Changing only a few key components, such as designing the 26XP series with smaller draught (2.2-metre), Tagliavini chose to carry over many core elements from the 32XP series which gives the 26XP a well-proven and efficient hull designed for ocean cruising.

26XP is powered by twin 2400HP MAN diesel engines which give her a cruising speed of 9 knots and a maximum speed of 13.5 knots. At 8 knots, 26XP has a range of 3000 nm.

Keep an eye out for two more 26XP hulls set to launch from the Turkish yard in 2018, each with their own set of customised features.
