New Ducale 88 model revealed by Ocean King

Italian shipyard Ocean King has unveiled a new 88 model within its Ducale series. The 26.8-metre concept is part of its line of explorer yachts and features exterior and interior design by the Venice-based VYD Studio.

The Ducale 88 is said to offer the finishing and styling of a “megayacht” while featuring “a more practical at-sea solution” inspired by the “commercial shipping field,” according to Ocean King. The concept offers an interior volume of 218 GT, featuring 185 square metres of interior together with a 160 square metre deck with close access to the sea.

It will consist of a full-displacement bulbous bow, steel hull with an aluminium superstructure, offering guests “style, volume, safety and comfort at sea.” Featuring five double staterooms, including a full-beam master suite on the main deck, she will be able to accommodate ten guests in addition to four crew members in two cabins.

“This yacht offers a lot of space,” says Paolo Dose of VYD Studio. “This 27m yacht can offer superyacht accommodation levels without the owners and guests having to live on top of each other.” Powered by twin MAN D2868 LE421 441kW engines, the Ducale 88 will have a top speed of 11.5 knots, to ensure it can capably cross oceans.
