New age of Odin begins as fourth Swan 115 superyacht is launched

Finnish sailing yacht builder Nautor has successfully launched the fourth and highly-anticipated unit in its growing Swan 115 line of super maxi cruisers.

Commissioned by an experienced sailor, Odin benefits not only from the shipyard’s experience in perfecting the platform but also from her owner’s expert input in creating one of the finest sailing yachts of her kind.The project has been three years in the making and was finally lowered into the calm waters of Jakobstad last week from where she will be conducting sea trials this month, ready for the upcoming boat shows on the French Riviera next month.

Described as the most advanced yacht ever built by the shipyard, Nautor worked together with Frers Naval Architecture & Engineering on the project with deVosdeVries Design from the Netherlands selected as interior designers for the project.

A special feature on board Odin is a massive sail locker in the forepeak. Through a sliding deck hatch, crew can easily and quickly change sails on the race course or during longer passages. This space, however, can be converted into a forward master suite as an option offered to increase guest capacity, depending on the type of use required by her owner.
