Horizon prepares to deliver first CC115 yacht

Horizon Yachts is preparing to deliver its new custom superyacht called the Horizon CC115 to a Mexican client. The Taiwanese-based yard also revealed it has welcomed a total of five clients for delivery sea trials on a number of new build yachts this yacht. The CC115 will be delivered alongside the FD85, FD87, E88, PC65 and PC52.

It comes ahead of the CC115's world premiere at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in November. The CC115 was developed in collaboration with Dutch designer Cor D. Rover. The all-GRP yacht follows in the wake of the recently delivered CC110 yacht Abaco.

John Lu, CEO of Horizon Yachts, previously said, “We are very pleased these new owners selected Horizon to build their customised superyacht. It is a great testament to our strength and capabilities as a luxury yacht manufacturer. This new Horizon CC115 will be nothing short of magnificent.”

The yard revealed that the owner is keen to cruise with his entire family and so thought long and hard about how best to utilise the spaces on board. As a result, the Horizon CC115 features a split foredeck that has been described as a “family theatre area”.

Key features include a large swim platform that can be lowering into the water for easily launching superyacht tenders and toys.Power will come from a pair of Caterpillar C32 ACERT diesel engines for a total output of 3,200hp. The total accommodation onboard remains undisclosed, but first renderings of the yacht showed that the Horizon CC115 features sheltered al fresco dining options in both the cockpit and on the superyacht sundeck.
