Avon Marine has partnered with Torqeedo to develop the eJET 450 electric tender that has a top speed of 31 knots.
The eJET 450 features is equipped with the 55kW Torqeedo Deep Blue electric motor and the latest generation of automotive battery (30.5kWh used in the BMW i3).
It features hydrojet technology and according to Avon has a 90 minutes range at 23 knots and seven hours at 5 knots.
“Avon’s eJET tender marks the arrival of clean and quiet electric mobility in the luxury tender segment. It’s a gorgeous product and we are proud to support it,” said Dr Christoph Ballin, Torqeedo co-founder and CEO of Torqeedo.
Avon eJETs feature hypalon fabric, electrically-retractable seats by Serge Ferrari with a quilted finish sewn by hand in France. The range is customisable with hundreds of options available.
The eJET products also have connected capabilities allowing them to be maintained and upgraded through the Internet.
