On the third day of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS), Taiwanese shipyard, Johnson Yachts has officially unveiled its new 35m flagship tri-deck yacht called the Johnson 115. Designed by Bill Dixon of Dixon Yacht Design and with interiors by Design Unlimited, the new project is the result of a string of interest in this type of vessel, which spurred the creation of this new project.
“In recent years, we’ve been getting quite a few enquiries about building tri-deck superyachts,” says Andy Huang, president of Johnson Yachts. “It’s time for us to come up with a stunning new breed of yacht that will fascinate the world.” The new project has been created around a completely new hull and will offer a large degree of customisation alongside the Design Unlimited interiors.
The Dixon-designed exterior of the new project has a clean and modern feel to it, with a plumb bow that has been designed to carry the yacht’s weight forward. Dixon has also included a series of large windows throughout the yacht, with glass cutaways in the bulwarks to preserve views from the yacht’s interior.
Having been building boats since 1987, Johnson Yachts has now delivered more than 300 vessels in its lifetime, ranging from 21m to 38m.
