SPINLOCK INTRODUCES GLOWSPOT TECHNOLOGY

Spinlock is to introduce Glowspot retro-reflection technology to its DURO range of commercial marine lifejackets.

Glowspot enhances the hi-vis bladder fabric with an extra thermoplastic layer containing retro reflective particles that increase the reflective properties of the bladder material.

“We are always looking to enhance our product range by introducing new technical features,” said Doug Vincett, technical sales for Spinlock commercial marine. “We feel this will further strengthen them as the ideal lifejackets for marine professionals to have as part of their personal equipment when working on the water.”

When combined with Spinlock’s Lume-On and Pylon lights, the DURO lifejackets can enhance the ability to locate and maintain visual contact on a casualty in the water, potentially reducing the time before the casualty is rescued.

Glowspot is a patented and certified technology. The fabric is from Erez Thermoplastic Products, manufacturers of coated technical textiles.

Lessons learnt in the most extreme yacht racing environments has led Spinlock to develop the DURO range and its accessories.
