Southern Wind launches 35m sailing yacht Power of 2

Hot on the heels of the delivery of SW105#02 Kiboko Tres, Southern Wind has launched the 34.59-metre SW105#03 Power of 2 at their facility in Cape Town.

With the exterior designed by Nauta Design and naval architecture by Farr Yacht Design, Power of 2 has been commissioned by a sailor seeking a faster sailboat to explore the remote corners of the world. The sailing yacht provides long-range navigation and the ability to sail in difficult conditions. Features include twin rudder system, lifting keel, and fixed bowsprit complete with integrated anchor arm.

Power of 2 is the first yacht with the new ‘Deck Saloon’ configuration and her interior is by Nauta Design. She boasts room for up to eight guests across three comfortable en suite guest cabins amidships in addition to the owner’s suite. The main saloon offers plenty of space to relax and enjoy the 270-degree views that surround the sofas and dining table.

Power of 2 is the third hull in the award-winning SW105 mini-series, and is due to undergo substantial sea trials before being delivered to her new owners in March 2019 and embarking on an extensive cruising plan.
