Princess reveals new renderings and details about X95

British builder Princess has revealed new renderings and details about the first model in the X Class range, the X95. It comes after Princess announced it would be launching the first X95 this year as part of six new models, following record results.

The 29 metre X95 ‘Super Flybridge” will “rewrite the rules for flybridge yachts,” the yard said, describing the model as “a luxury SUV of the seas.”

Designed in partnership with Italian sportscar designer Pininfarina, the X95 aims to redefine traditional yacht architecture with extensive outdoor space and an open plan interior.

This, the yard claimed, will result in a layout providing 10% more outdoor space and 40% more indoor space than a “traditional” motor yacht of the same size. The result, the yard says, will be a high-quality superyacht offering flexibility for all types of owner.Executive chairman Antony Sheriff added: “The X95 breaks the mould of traditional yacht design. The unique open plan architecture is brought to life through our design partnership with the legendary styling house Pininfarina.

“This leap forward in space and versatility mirrors recent innovations from luxury automotive brands who have developed crossover models.”

The X95 follows the launch of the R35 performance sports yacht last year. The 10.89 metre R35 was designed with America’s Cup technical experts Ben Ainslie Racing Technologies (BAR Technologies) and Pininfarina.
