NEW HDPE TIDEMAN BOATS DELIVERED

Tideman Boats has delivered the first of two HDPE RBB 700 2OB vessels for Smit Salvage’s salvage operations in Brazil.

This salvage tender fits inside a 40’HC on a trailer for easy transport, safe storage and quick deployment. It has a bollard for line handling and a dive kit can be fitted on the foredeck, said Tideman Boats, which manufacturers high speed workboats up to 12m.

Bruno Tideman, CEO of Netherlands-based Tideman Boats, stated: “HDPE is a new construction material which does not need any maintenance or anti fouling. It has a low carbon footprint and is 100% recyclable. The impact resistance and the fact that it is completely inert make the boats virtually indestructible.”

Brabo Pilotage and Moorings also took delivery of its 9th Pilot boat, a HDPE RBB 1100 WJ in Antwerp. This vessel has 12 suspension seats inside the cabin and is powered by twin Yanmar 8LV-320 diesel engines with Alamarin 285 water jets. The boat weight is 6200kg and it has a top speed of 40 knots.

In December, the company announced it had built a HDPE RBB 700 mooring boat, ready for engine installation. The vessel was due to be deployed in Maputo, Mozambique.

Tideman Boats will be exhibiting at Seawork on stand VA4.
