LINELAUNCHER TO BE DEMONSTRATED AT SPEED@SEAWORK

Ocean Safety will use the Speed@Seawork sea trials as an opportunity to demonstrate one of the latest products to join the company’s portfolio of products, the LineLauncher.

The specialist buyers attending Speed@Seawork, the two day event of on-water trials based out of Cowes Yacht Haven, a short way across the Solent from Seawork’s main exhibition in Southampton, will have a chance to see the LineLauncher in action as the product’s agent Campbell Field will showcase its capability when he launches it from the vessel that will be transferring the delegates to Cowes.

The LineLauncher is powered by a 16g CO2 cylinder and when activated propels a hi-vis floating polypropylene rope and flotation device up to 80m. The LineLauncher, which weights 3.5kg and measures 0.8m in length, can be used in any situation where a line needs to be launched from vessel to vessel, vessel to shore or shore to vessel including vertical launches. It can be used to recover a person from the sea or in a rescue situation, transfer goods or a heavy duty tow/rescue rope.

The LineLauncher is an advanced emergency solution, and can be re-armed and re-used after the cylinder is spent. It can also be used on land and use is not restricted by any firearms regulations.

The LineLauncher is one of a number of products which will be demonstrated during Speed@Seawork, of which Ocean Safety is a sponsor.
