Keel laid of first Rosetti RSY 38 Explorer yacht

With the first section of Rosetti’s inaugural superyacht project complete, the shipyard celebrated its first milestone in Revenna this month where the keel of its RSY 38 Explorer yacht has been laid

Following maritime tradition, a symbolic coin was placed beneath the keel of the first section of the hull which will be retrieved upon the completion of construction when the vessel is ready to launch in 2021."This is a first important step for the new project that is coming to life and gives value to the even larger project that is Rosetti Superyachts, in which I have believed passionately since its inception,” says Fulvio Dodich, Partner & CEO of Rosetti Superyachts. “I am proud to be able to attend our first keel laying together with my team and those who believed in us."

The RSY 38 Explorer measures 37.8 metres in length and will measure around 400 GT when completed with an 8.8-metre beam. The ceremony was attended by the yacht’s owner and designer Sergio Cutolo of Hydro Tec. "Each new beginning contains within it great energy and I am very happy to be part of this adventure,” commented Cutolo. “This first RSY Explorer was born from a Hydro Tec project and from the wishes of the owners who followed us step by step, creating a graceful boat with a strong personality.”

Sold to the client in December last year, the shipyard reports that the RSY 38 Explorer will be ready for delivery within 24 months. With few details available about what to expect on board, the first rendering of the project reveals a standard tri-deck setup with a full-beam main deck and lower deck guest accommodation arrangement.
