Introducing Antibes Celebrates Yachting

A new event in Antibes was introduced to the industry last week; Antibes Celebrates Yachting. Created at the request of the town and Port of Antibes, on March 17th Patrick Gilliot, President of the Association in Support of the Development and Activities of the Port of Antibes (ASAP), alongside Eric Pauget, 1st Deputy Mayor and President of the SAEM who manages the Port Vauban, introduced the new event.

Around 40 companies are expected to participate, and will present their products and services as well as organise professional meetings. Approximately 15 yachts will also attend measuring between 15 and 30 metres, as well as an additional 20 vessels from 30 metres upwards. The vessels participation is thanks to Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Association (MYBA).

The gala dinner on Saturday night for Captains and Directors of Yachting related companies will take place in the prestigious Villa Eilenroc on the Cap d’Antibes. This two day event is primarily intended to favour trade and professional meetings in a warm atmosphere. Professional visitors will be able to purchase a badge for 20 Euros.

The Association Antibes Coeur d'Azur is compiling a listing of shop owners, restaurants and cafes from Antibes who wish to participate in the event. About fifty have so far proposed to grant reduced rates or special offers for visitors and participants of the ACY.

Organisers report that there is a general determination to continue having a yachting event in Antibes at the beginning of the season and the aim is to have a larger-scale event with international reputation in Antibes from 2016 on.

Antibes Celebrates Yachting will be held over two days from the 24th to 25th April.
