New Yara 48 concept from ISA Yachts

Italy-based ISA Yachts has presented a new concept in cooperation with Omega Architects and Van Oossanen Naval Architects — the Yara 48 superyacht.

The naval architecture on the 48-metre motor yacht, carried out by Van Oossanen Naval Architects, has resulted in an efficient platform based on the Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) concept.

The yacht has been designed to be “Bahamas-friendly”, with a maximum draft of two meters. The design of the Yara 48 has focussed on the interior and exterior relationship, with the aim of creating 50% more usable space in comparison to a traditional layout. This has been achieved by designing opening areas that connect inner and outer spaces on the aft deck.

The Yara 48 has low bulwarks and multiple full height windows to allow for openness and panoramic views from all over the boat. The view from the aft deck has also been carefully considered, with a Jacuzzi almost flush with the deck to avoid blocking the view.

A second Jacuzzi is on the spacious sun deck with 360 degrees panorama. The sunbathing part is reserved on aft. This has been designed to create a “bar sport” atmosphere where guests can watch a film or a match, while still being outside.

On the lower deck, the beach club houses a sauna, day-head and a service counter, a design feature derived from the Russian traditional “banya”, which consists of 3 rooms; with a sauna or steam room, a bathroom and an area to rest and relax with a counter cabinet for drinks and a bar.

Accommodation consists of a full beam private suite with his and hers bathroom on the main deck. On the lower deck there are two twins and two VIPs cabins served by a central round stair.

The new design follows on from the introduction of the Yara 44 which was announced in September last year.
