Westport Yachts at London Yacht, Jet & Prestige Car Show

As the second day of The London Yacht, Jet & Prestige Car Show draws to a close, we spoke to President of U.S. shipyard Westport Yachts, Daryl Wakefield. Though perhaps off to a slow start on the very first day yesterday, the show has seen a rise in visitors today, something in which Wakefield is very positive about.

Asking Wakefield of his experience with Westport at the show so far, he states, “We’re thrilled. It’s gone very well. The organisers started in September and this is the very first show - it’s really great. It’s been well attended both by the exhibitors and the clientele through here, so it’s all we could ask for as a company trying to market our products.”

Speaking of the range of visitors and interest the brand have seen so far, Wakefield continues, “It’s been a mix. The bulk of people that we have seen are locals from here that we wouldn’t have otherwise been able to reach. So that was our goal, to broaden our market. We’ll see what comes of it, but people don’t buy here. That’s not how our products sell, but we’ll see how it goes from here on in!”

Westport Yachts will be exhibiting throughout the duration of the show, and welcome visitors to join them at their stand. Held in the historic Old Billingsgate venue in the heart of London, the event will conclude tomorrow.
