BAYLINER SIGNS CHAMPION WAKEBOARDER TO SPONSORSHIP

Bayliner Boats has signed a sponsorship agreement with Garrett Coleman, a nationally-ranked, champion wakeboard rider

KNOXVILLE, TN — Coleman will be training behind a Bayliner 215 Flight Series Deck Boat which will also be his personal boat used by he and his family in Orlando. Coleman, 12, won his age bracket at the 2014 Gravel Tour; the sport’s biggest youth wake boarding series.

“Garrett is a great young man and a major rising star in wakeboarding,” said Bayliner’s Brand Manager, Michael Yobe. “Plus, since his entire family is involved in water sports, our 215 DB Flight Series is a perfect fit for them,” he added.

The 215 Fight Series Coleman will be using is set up for wake boarding with special Fight Series graphics, ballast system, a MONSTER wakeboard tower, board racks, extended swim platform, and Mercury Marine’s all new 4.5L (250 HP) engine with Bravo 3 drive.

“It was fun getting to build the boat on Bayliner’s website and look at all the cool options and choices they give you,” said Coleman. “I can’t wait ’til it’s done and I can start training behind it,” he added.

“We’re all excited about the association with Bayliner,” said Coleman’s father Michael.” “I think a lot of people in our local water sports community will be impressed with their boat when they see it docked out back. I know Garrett is excited,” he continued.

Coleman is not the first champion wakeboarder to get his start behind a Bayliner. In fact, wakeboard legend, Greg Nelson learned to wakeboard behind a Bayliner when he was young. Nelson, now Hyperlite Wakeboards’ VP of Marketing took an early interest in Coleman’s career signing Coleman to represent the wakeboard maker in 2013.
