Sailing superyacht Lamima launched

Camper & Nicholsons (CNI) have announced the launch of the 65-metre sailing superyacht Lamima.

The Indonesian two-masted phinisi yacht will be available for charter through CNI in Indonesia's Komodo Islands and Raja Ampat archipelago. There are seven large cabins, all with en suite bathrooms, accommodating 14 guests, and 20 crew members are accommodated as well.

Lamima's construction began in early 2012 at the centuries-old boatbuilding village of Ara, Sulawesi, where tourists flock to see traditional methods still in use. Sailing yacht Lamima is designed by Marcelo Penna who styled her exterior, the interior general arrangement, the sail plan and was responsible for the project engineering. In 2014, the hull left Indonesia and headed to Thailand where the Italthai Marine Shipyard finished the build, including the bright and elegant interior décor and the rigging, which was supervised by top rigging experts.

The boat has been built using traditional ironwood mixed with light bleached oak panels, giving a modern finish “with an Indonesian flair”. CNI say she features “amazing deck spaces with versatile use for sunbathing, lounging, relaxing or dancing under the stars”. Lamima also hosts a PADI-certified scuba diving centre, and there are two permanent dive instructors on board.
