BRENTA 80 DC: PASTEL-GREEN AND ULTRA-LIGHT

A new style of maxi cruising

High-polished hulls, neatly dressed crew and five star racing form the typical sailing-superyacht image. The new Brenta 80 DC is designed to be different: A fast and functional 80-foot cruising-yacht with the owner himself handling rudder and winches in the center cockpit version. The spiritual father – and first-to-be owner – is no other than former Hanse Yachts founder Michael Schmidt. Having gathered a lifetime experience of boat building, he now aims to develop a boat that fulfills his personal requirements.

Lorenzo Argento, from Italian yacht design studio Brenta Design, gave the Brenta 80 her exceptional design: three deck levels, a pastel-green hull and the center cockpit are novel eye catchers. An aft cockpit and a deck salon configuration will also be available, depending on the preference of the future owner and the number of crew that shall be handling the yacht.

Renowned British architect Sir David Chipperfield designed the interior of the lightweight carbon-cruiser. He characterized the room below deck by a modern plain style. The large aft cabin takes up a big part of the overall interior space.

Let’s be curious how the Brenta 80’s performance will be on the water. It is more than likely that she keeps the promise of her famous fathers: fast cruising is fun!
