FERRETTI YACHTS PRESENTS THE FERRETTI YACHTS 550
The Italian shipyard expands their Ferretti Yachts range
In the wake of their new Custom Line Navetta 28 and Pershing 70, the Ferretti Group announced the newest model that is scheduled to hit the water in spring 2015. The Ferretti 550 is an entry-level flybridge yacht that boasts a brand-new hull design and brand-new main deck and interior layout. At 55 feet, the yacht is on the smallest of the Ferretti range and marks the beginning of Ferretti’s desire to grow their overall offer in various segments, including yachts of less than 50 feet.
Ferretti collaborated with their internal research and development department, AYT&D, and Studio Zuccon International Project to develop a yacht with exceptional performance that remains highly efficient. Its optimized weight balance allows for the use of a light, low-consumption engine, meaning that the twin 715 HP shaft drive engines can still power the yacht up to 30 knots with a cruising speed of 26.5 knots.
The yacht is available in an open version with a large Bimini top that protects the dining area or with a hard top that covers the entire deck. The interior is available in three different layouts, including the ‘Tai He Ban by Ferretti’ special edition for owners in Asia with optional meeting and event space and expanded relaxation areas. Two more traditional layouts include a full-beam master stateroom, a VIP cabin and guest cabin with two or three bathrooms.
