SUPER YACHT SUB 3 FROM U-BOAT WORX
A private submersible designed specifically for super yachts
Founded in 2005, U-Boat Worx is a Dutch company known for their private submersibles. Their range of products can be used for a variety of purposes from professional research missions to tourist excursions. The Super Yacht Sub 3 is their latest model and the first to be designed for super yachts.
The ultra-compact, ultra-lightweight personal submarine can hold one pilot and two passengers, but is small enough to fit aboard most super yachts. It is available in two models, the first with a depth rating of up to 150 meters and a second with a depth rating of up to 300 meters.
Despite its small size, the submersible boasts two powerful 2.7kW electric thrusters that allow it travel up to 3.5 knots underwater. It also comes equipped with the Freeboard Extender – a patent-pending system that ensures occupants can open the hatch at the surface even in instances where the waves are high.
The pressurized, air conditioned interior offers leather seating and an unobstructed view. With this model, Paul Allen won’t be the only super yacht owner with his own submarine! It’s the ultimate super yacht toy.
