THE NEW ALEN 68
A versatile yacht that is both spacious and sporty
Turkish shipyard Alen Yacht exhibited the Alen 68 at last week’s Cannes Boat Show. Designed in collaboration with renowned London architecture firm Foster + Partners, the 20-meter boat combines the social spaces of a cruising yacht with the speed and agility of a dayboat.
Continuing a visible trend toward open and streamlined exteriors, the deck has increased walk-around space and can hold up to sixteen passengers. Large sundecks at the stern and bow provide space for relaxation, while a large central seating area offers an entertainment area behind the console. The stern also has room for a jet ski and other water toys.
The interior of the yacht is finished entirely in white leather with accents of bleached oak and white onyx. Every detail was carefully considered, including the bespoke furnishings that sit off the hull – an unusual touch that reveals the curves and lines of the yacht.
Twin V12 1,550 horsepower MAN engines power the Alen 68 to speeds of up to 45 knots with a cruising speed of 41 knots.
The Alen 68 is available with one master cabin and a large lounge area or in a second version with three cabins.
