ARCADIA 85 AT THE CANNES BOAT SHOW

The shipyard renowned for their ethical and ecological approach to luxury yachts will present two models at Cannes

Arcadia Yachts would like to revolutionize how we boat. The award-winning Italian shipyard believes that boating and ecology don’t have to be mutually exclusive. Their fleet of luxury motor yachts rethinks life at sea from technology and innovation to the on-board experience.

To accomplish the shipyard’s lofty goals, their yachts are designed first and foremost with ecological performance in mind.Their most successful model, the 85, has hydrodynamic semi-displacement hull that reduces fuel consumption. It also boasts hybrid propulsion that allows it to sail up to 8 knots in complete silence. Double glazed solar panels are integrated into the structure and serve to power all of the on-board utilities. The 85 also has a system that treats waste water to eliminate sewage pollution.

Of course, Arcadia’s eco-friendly approach is not limited to design. Their construction process reduces waste materials and minimizes the use of paint and other coatings.

In addition to the 85, Arcadia will also be presenting the 115 at Cannes. The 85 has a range of up to 700 miles and can travel at speeds of up to 18 knots (with a cruising speed of 16 knots) and has room for four guests. The larger 115 has a range of 1,800 miles and can host up to 6 guests. We look forward to visiting both models and getting more information on the brand’s plans to expand their fleet during the Cannes Boat Show from September 9th to 14th.
