MERCURY ENERTIA ECO PROPELLER
Mercury's redesigned ECO prop saves up to ten percent on fuel
Mercury Marine has designed the Enertia ECO propeller that maximizes efficiency at cruising speeds. Most boaters do not spend their time in at maximum speed or in full acceleration, the two moments for which most propellers are designed to be most efficient. The majority of time on the water is spent at cruising speeds, and the Mercury Enertia ECO provides better fuel economy in this range.
The redesigned propeller has only three blades, but a blade area that is comparable to 4 blade propellers. At 41 centimeters, it also has the largest propeller diameter allowed and is made from Mercury’s exclusive X7 stainless steel alloythat makes the eco prop possible. The special alloy is the reason the propeller can have such a large diameter and enhanced cupping that gives better performance when going from neutral to full throttle and lifts the hull a bit, which means less drag and better fuel economy.
So just how much is better fuel economy? Around ten percent, which means a huge amount of money saved on fuel and a non-negligible increase in range!
Available in right and left-hand rotation, the Enertia ECO comes in three pitches (48 cm, 53 cm and 58 cm) and fits all outboards that are 135 hp and above.
