50 VISION GT BY MERCEDES-BENZ

The result of a collaboration between two giants

Automobile constructors are defenitely attracted by nautism and boats! After Rolls-Royce, it’s now the German Mercedes-Benz that teams up with a shipyard and takes part in the design and construction of a new boat. Collaborating with Cigarette Racing Team, a shipyard specialized in racing boats, the Mercedes-Benz high-performance brand AMG came up with two futuristic visions: one car (the Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo Concept) and the Cigarette Racing 50′ Vision GT.

The 50 Vision GT is a 50 feet long powerboat is presented as an hommage to the concept car that goes along but it’s a tad more than a simple tribute. Indeed, this beauty is a unique speed machine powered by twin 1650 bhp Mercury Racing engines. Combined with the boat’s light weight (453 kg), the engines should allow the Vision GT to reach an estimated top speed of 225 km/h (140 mph)! Inside, the boat is equipped with five heavily bolstered seats, carbon fiber trim and black Alcantara upholstery. The model also has four high-definition displays, Bluetooth connectivity and next generation integration of Garmin and Cigarette navigation and audio. This beauty comes with a price: €1 million!
