SELF-RIGHTING TENDER FROM CASTOLDI
A rescue boat that can rescue itself
Italian manufacturer Castoldi has developed a rescue tender that is self-righting. Thanks to Castoldi’s R.I.SE.R. (Recessed Inflatable Self Righting) system, the Jet Tender 19 can actually save itself after capsizing. The R.I.SE.R. system involves a sort of balloon at the rear of the craft that inflates with the pull of a tab. The force of the inflation against the water causes the boat to flip right side up.
As with all of Castoldi’s tenders, the Jet Tender 19 Rescue Boat is made for waterjet propulsion, reaching speeds of up to 37 knots. It also offers a folding helm and removable tubes that are easily replaced.
