The luxury sports car manufacturer collaborates with Quintessence Yachts on a new powerboat
Aston Martin is the latest luxury car manufacturer to venture into the realm of powerboats. The AM37 is a sleek 37-foot concept designed in collaboration with Quintessence Yachts. A Dutch company that is specialized in cross-industry designs, Quintessence Yachts was responsible for successfully translating Aston Martin’s signature style into an innovative, technologically advanced vessel. They brought on board naval architecture experts Mulder Yachts to combine Aston Martin’s vision with the more technical realities such as hull performance.
The boat will be presented in two separate models: the AM37 and the AM37 S. A refined leisure boat, the AM37 will reach speeds of up to 44 knots, while the sportier AM37 S will reach speeds of up to 52 knots. Both versions are designed to provide the same behind-the-wheel thrill as the renowned British sports cars.
The hull, a high-tech composite with epoxy resin and structural parts made from carbon fiber, is made using vacuum infusion technology and post curing. The interior is also equipped with the latest technology including interactive voice control and activation, fully HD-integrated touch screen and remote controlled functions. The full design has not yet been revealed but it is scheduled to debut at the Monaco Yacht Show this coming September.
