The Queen Mary 2 celebrates its 10th anniversary

We keep seeing boats get bigger, and yet it becomes harder and harder to comprehend the true size of a ship. Take, for example, the 151,200 ton Queen Mary 2. For the 10th anniversary of the largest and most expensive ocean liner ever built, Captain Kevin Oprey decided to show us what the boat’s size really is compared to a human scale. After months of strategic and safety planning, the photo crew and Captain Oprey managed to take this amazing portrait of the Captain standing on his vessel’s bulbous bow, about a mile off the coast of Bali.
