Golden Arrow hits home at Seawork

The UK's Golden Arrow Marine says its had its most successful year yet at Seawork International, largely helped by the new Moteurs Baudouin M26.3 common rail fully electronic diesel engine, making its UK debut at the show.

Golden Arrow, which is the UK agent for Moteurs Baudouin, said that a number of confirmed sales were achieved at the show from survey and fishing vessel operators.

Will Marrs, Golden Arrow Marine, told Maritime Journal: “Seawork is always a good show for us and the new M26.3 is a great productand a major step forward in Moteurs Baudouin’s product range delivering 441 to 1214 kW in the 1800-2300 rpm bandwidth.”

The engine was originally introduced at SMM 2014 and although based on the original M26 series, beats its predecessors hands down in terms of its unparalleled service accessibility, compact and durable power, which all helps to reduce operational cost.

Improvements to the engine pod include the addition of service inspection engine block hatches, full maintenance accessibility, casting built in circuits for simplified design, noise reduction concept technology and exhaust emission compliance in line with IMO Tier IV and EPA III.

Away from Moteurs Baudouin, Golden Arrow was also exhibiting a range of high quality commercial products at the show including engines, gearboxes, thrusters, stabilisers, outboard motors and generators. Brands included Volvo Penta, Perkins, Torqeedo, Evinrude Multifuel, ZF, Quick and TRAC.

The demo boat equipped with an IPS system from Volvo Penta drew a lot of attention from the boat building and operations sector, helping customers to understand the unique capabilities of the joystick docking and forward-facing propulsion system.
