3 mile lantern

Seawork exhibitor Tideland Signal Corporation has introduced the latest addition to its self-contained LED lantern product line. The SolaMAX-3 lantern contains some features that have been designed to meet industry standards and deliver a 3NM range with an improved duty cycle, offering, it says, greater flexibility.

The SolaMAX-3 is a compact, highly efficient lantern comprising of a plastic body, polycarbonate lens and scratch resistant, tempered glass solar panels. Output is provided by a single LED. New features include IR programming and monitoring, capable of downloading data to a personal computer (PC). The standard unit is delivered with a 13Ah battery with options of 26Ah and 34Ah.

A retractable carrying handle situated on the top provides ease of transport and allows for swift mounting installation. A magnetic On/Off switch for quick deployment and for storage maintenance check is also provided. An infrared controller is offered as an option. The IR controller may be used to program the unit including; flash code, light intensity, and sun-switch threshold.
