The Offshore Powerboat Association heads to Newport, Rhode Island.

The Offshore Powerboat Association is bringing offshore powerboat racing to sailboat racing’s backyard near Newport, Rhode Island, with the Fall River Grand Prix in Fall River, Massachusetts, on the weekend of Aug. 14-16. The festivities start with the teams arriving Friday afternoon, and a racer meet-and-greet that evening. Testing will take place Saturday with the teams racing at noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Sunday.
