MasterCraft Boats UK Offer Bespoke Superyacht Tenders with Inboard Diesel engines.

MasterCraft Boats UK will introduce its bespoke superyacht watersports tenders with inboard diesel engine packages at the Monaco Yacht Show. It is the first time the Company has exhibited at Monaco and it represents a significant commitment to the bespoke tenders market. A new for 2015 X23 Saltwater Series with the traditional petrol engine will be on display. This is just one of four Saltwater Series boats that is offered with the custom diesel engine package. The luxury performance sports boats range from 6.10 metres to 7.75 metres and are now available with an exclusive conversion to a Yanmar inboard diesel engine. The package also includes bespoke lifting solutions with options tailored to meet the widest possible range of requirements.

Michael Hardicker, MD of MasterCraft Boats UK says, ‘Having worked with many superyacht owners, captains and industry professionals over the years we’ve come to recognise the benefits of a dedicated diesel watersports tender. This is not only beneficial from a safety perspective but also gives the ability to refuel on board, a significant benefit to superyachts spending long periods of time offshore.’

Yanmar was chosen as the engine partner for the project because the EPA Tier 3-compliant 8LV engine is exceptionally quiet, smooth and compact. It has a wide power band (320-370) with adjustable idle speeds as low as 550 rpm for trolling in marinas and tops out at 3,800 rpm. With a 992 pound dry weight, it offers an excellent power-to-weight ratio.

MasterCraft engineers have spent several months perfecting the custom-instal, a procedure that requires a very specific skill set to ensure that performance is not compromised in any way. Extensive testing has been undertaken and a number of the bespoke watersports tenders are currently in situ in the Mediterranean and the Middle East.

Hardicker went on to say, ‘Momentum has been building for over 18 months and we decided that now is the right time to formalise our offering with a dedicated team working on the watersports tender project. The bespoke package is exclusive to MasterCraft Boats UK which is working with MasterCraft Boat Company in the US to handle enquiries worldwide under the Watersports Superyacht Tenders division.

Recognising that every case is different and working closely with a specialist lifting partner, the MasterCraft team carefully matches the needs and technical requirements of the ship, either for single point or multi point lifting options. Bespoke mounted lifting points, spreader bars and keel line lifts are among the solutions offered to ensure that the best option is found in line with a ship’s crane positions and storage location on board. The MasterCraft superyacht tender design team and dedicated engineers provide a safe and certified solution, offering ease of use whatever the conditions. Whether the requirement is for the tender to be stored on deck or in a tender garage, a ship’s individual needs can be accommodated.

The watersports tenders can be further customised with options including bespoke windscreen height, quick release wakeboard tower and quick release platform, depending on the needs of owners.

MasterCraft introduced its saltwater series range of boats over ten years ago. The deep V hulls give a smooth ride and generous seating layout offering comfort that is combined with a luxurious finish. The X55 is the largest tender in the range at 7.75 metres. It comes complete with a wet bar, on board head and a bow thruster for ease of maneuverability.
