Live from Cannes: Onboard Baglietto's new 43m superyacht Pachamama

After being launched earlier this year, the 43.65 metre superyacht Pachamama is in Cannes this week for the Cannes Yachting Festival, where SuperYacht Times’ Charl van Rooy and Tom van Oossanen were invited on board to take a look at this custom Italian masterpiece.

Built by the Italian shipyard Baglietto, the all aluminium vessel features exterior and interior by Francesco Paszkowski. She is characterised by large volumes and light and bright interiors, and accommodates guests over a five cabin layout consisting of a VIP cabin, three twin cabins, and a full beam master suite - all of which are located on the lower deck. Natural teak and different panelling materials alternate with the polished lacquered partitions and ceiling panels throughout the guest cabins, creating a unique chessboard pattern.

The main deck is dedicated to the achievement of a social environment, with a shaded ‘conversation area’ located at the cockpit, a panoramic sunbathing area forward, and a heated Jacuzzi at the extreme bow.

Inside, the main salon is drenched in natural light thanks to two skylights overlooking the flybridge. The full-beam dining room, which is separated from the salon by the central technical unit, has ideally been conceived as one single area.

The approximately 75 sq m flybridge offers a comfortable sunbathing area at the stern, a central conversation area, and a dining area shaded by the small mast.

In regards to her performance, she is powered by twin MTU 12V4000 M93L engines which give her a top speed of 28 knots. She is ABS top class classified, and is compliant to MCA Standards, and will be at the Cannes Yachting Festival until the show draws to an end this weekend.
