Vitruvius Yachts & Oceanco reveal 105m design Acquaintance

Dutch shipyard Oceanco have teamed up with designer Philippe Briand under Vitruvius Yachts to create a new 105 metre superyacht design. The PYC-compliant vessel will continue the brand’s identity as being eco-friendly and fuel efficient with a characteristic sharp exterior and low profile deckhouses. The design was officially unveiled during the Monaco Yacht Show last week.

Created to be minimal in design and clean in terms of deck spaces, the yacht will be the ultimate representation of what a modern 100m+ superyacht can be. The yacht will accommodate 24 guests across 10 guest cabins which are located on main deck. Two of these are VIP cabins and will have their own set of forward facing windows.

A central staircase along with an elevator runs from the beach club to the top deck. The bridge deck will have a large 270-degree view panoramic saloon. Forward on this deck will be a touch and go helicopter landing pad for easy transfers.

The owner’s deck will be for exclusive use by the owner. Designed to be protected from the elements, this level will offer an aft facing suite with uninterrupted views. The forward part of the deck is devoted to a private observation lounge that faces forward.

Despite her sleek appearance Acquaintance will have a gross tonnage of 4,302gt, ample space for a large array of water toys and tenders up to 12 metres. Here on the lower deck one finds a beach club, cinema, gym and sauna. Skylights in the deck above reveal the swimming pool on main deck aft, creating a magical theme in the beach club below.

Acquaintance will be fitted with 4 MTU 16V 4000 M33’s developing 1,760kW each, combined with two electrical motors. Guests on board will be looked after by 32 crew members.
