Mondomarine presents new 60m Sea Falcon project

As part of their new M series Mondomarine have unveiled renderings of the M60; a sport yacht developed with a new high-performance hull that is set to deliver performance level cruising with ocean-going stability.

Designed by Luiz de Basto, the yacht will have a sloping multi-level exterior with high freeboard that in turn creates a large interior volume.

As with the new M50, the M60 will continue the line’s construction methods of using a lightweight alloy for the hull and superstructure. Definition comes from a large arching shaped superstructure and main deck sides, adding to the design’s sporty appearance.

Folding hatches and balconies around the stern and along the side of the vessel increases the living areas whilst at anchor. Main deck aft will consist of a sheltered lounge and dining area, perfect for windy days at anchor or when underway.

Bridge deck aft has been kept exposed, and will be suitable for relaxing days in the sun. The yacht’s beam of 10 metres means her gross tonnage will be kept around the 900 GT mark. Depending on the engine package, the M60’s top speed will vary between 22 and 27 knots, with a range of 4,100nm at 12 knots.
