Marée Haute’s new boat is nominated for European Yacht of the Year 2016
It is still a secret who will win European Yacht of the Year 2016. However, the nominees have already been announced. The French candidate in the category Performance Cruiser is the Django 9.80 by Marée Haute. Its sea trial and premiere will be at the Grand Pavois, the international in-water boat show in La Rochelle, France, from the 16th to 21st of September.
The 9.80-meter sailing yacht designed by Pierre Rolland is made for cruising and racing alike. The cockpit division enables sailing with a big family as well as with a shorthanded crew. The deck and hull are built in sandwich by infusion with the wide hull having modern and stable chines. That she can go fast is for sure – almost everything else is up to choice.
The interior (with headroom of 1.90 meters!) offers one aft cabin in the standard, and two cabins in the optional version, allowing six people to sleep comfortably on-board. The versatility of the Django 9.80 is mirrored in the choice of ballast: a fixed keel with a 1.95 meter draft or twin keels with a 1.55 meter draft make the brand new sailing yacht ideal for demanding ocean sailing as well as for beaching in shallow bays. Finally, the option with lifting keel has a draft that ranges from 1.10 to 2.40 meters. You don’t want to miss this little beauty in La Rochelle, do you?
