FAST, LIGHT, SAFE – THE NEW RM1270

RM Yachts will present its latest 40-footer at the Grand Pavois in September

Distinctive, sporty, of high quality: fans of RM Yachts won’t miss anything in the new RM1270 that will be presented at the Grand Pavois Show in La Rochelle/France from 16th to 21st September 2015. The plywood sailing yacht is the predecessor of the RM1260 (European Yacht of the Year 2013 in the category family cruiser) and the big sister of the RM1070, a relaunch of the successful 1060.

Designer Marc Lombard modified the RM1260 with regard to performance, design and comfort: The bow is inverted, stretching the waterline to improve boat speed and planning ability. On deck, particular attention was paid to security with the life raft being stowed at the stern. Durable and outstanding are the black powder-coated pulpit, pushpit and stanchions. Underneath the waterline there is a triple choice: twin keel with single rudder is standard, single keel and retractable keel with double rudders are options. With two 240 liter water tanks, water supply will be no limitation to untie the lines for long distances.

The interior is as light, simple and modern as RM-customers know it – the creators just changed details: access to the engine room is improved and the front cabin is now separated from the salon by a double door.
