The perfect alternative to heavy scuba diving equipment

PowerDive is a little gem of Australian innovation. Providing a practical alternative to traditional scuba diving equipment that requires tank refills, ritual tests and intense maintenance, PowerDive is a Surface Supply Diving System. Also known as hookah diving, the system offers boat-based and free-floating mechanisms that let you dive without the heavy equipment. The boat-based systems are perfect for those who needs quick access to the water for boat maintenance, while the free-floating systems are ideal for diving.

PowerDive functions using electric compressors to generate the air supply which is then stored in a reservoir on the surface. Divers are attached to the air supply via a hose. The most basic model allows a single diver to reach a depth of 12 meters and two divers to reach 6 meters, but their latest addition, the ExtremeSnorkel, almost doubles the depth capacity, allowing a single diver to reach 22 meters and two divers to reach 15 meters. The smaller systems are battery powered, with dive times of 60-70 minutes, but they also offer a larger, commercial version that functions using petrol.
