How the Norvegian Crown became the Balmoral

The process of making a cruise ship grow by 30 meters can be quite outstanding. In this timelapse, the German shipyard Blohm + Voss shows us how they transformed the 1988 Norvegian Crown into the 2007 and 30 meters longer Balmoral! The extension alone allows the Balmoral to welcome 186 additional passengers and 56 more crew members. The 218 metre ship thus became the biggest boat of the Fred Olsen Cruise Line.
