SYMPHONY OF THE SEAS SELECTS SOLARGLIDE SOLAR SCREENS

Solarglide supplied 52 bridge solar screens to the vessel MS Symphony of the Seas!

Following the success of Solarglide's SG Gliders on board Harmony of the Seas, in October, Solarglide supplied 52 Lloyds register type approved bridge solar screens to the vessel MS Symphony of the Seas!

The MS Symphony of the Seas will be the largest passenger ship ever to be constructed by gross tonnage, at 230,000 GT, surpassing MS Harmony of the Seas. She is an under-construction cruise ship belonging to Royal Caribbean's Oasis class, and is scheduled to be put into service in April 2018. Hosting 17 restaurants and cafe's, 6 bars, new updated entertainment list and an extensive list of activities, MS Symphony of the Seas caters for everybody!

Paul Pringle, Managing Director, said "It is an incredible honour to be selected once again by Royal Caribbean International, I am so proud of the Solarglide team and our achievements in 2017 so far! Our vision is to provide quality bridge navigational safety products across the maritime sector. With this prestigious order from Royal Caribbean, Solarglide are one step closer to making the maritime sector a more safe and enjoyable place to work".

SG Glider solar screens will bring numerous benefits to MS Symphony of the Seas:

Reduce solar glare by up to 93%

Reduce interior temperatures in hot conditions by up to 15 Degrees Celsius

Air conditioning can be turned down, saving money

Block up to 97% of UV radiation

We believe all of these benefits will help the workers on board the MS Symphony of the Seas provide a first class service for Royal Caribbean.
