Solbian lands on front cover with the latest installations on the cutting edge Energy Observer

Solbian contributes to the hydrogen powered boat “Energy Observer” with state of the art solar panels.

The renowned magazine Electric & Hybrid Marine Technology International published an article on the hydrogen powered catamaran Energy Observer, which on June 26th begun a 6 year round the world tour.

The catamaran is powered by a combination of solar, wind and hydrogen sources, the scope of this ambitious project is to demonstrate the efficiency of alternative energies, establishing a model for future emissions-free energy networks.

Energy Observer produces and stores hydrogen thanks to three different types of solar panels, spread over a surface of 130m2, which provides 21kW.

Part of these solar panels is manufactured by the Italian company Solbian , 84 custom made modules installed on the top and sides of the vessel, following the curvature of the underlying boat surface.

At the core of the Energy Observer project there’s the desire to safeguard our planet, finding viable solutions to improve the environment conditions.

A big project, both for its extent and the message that wants to convey, a message that we hope will be listened in the years to come.
