The Advanced 44 is a true day sailor: sporty, fun, fast on the water. The hull, appendages and sail plan are designed by Roberto Biscontini, a reference point in the world of top performance sailing who designed the America''s Cup racer Il Moro di Venezia in 1989 and who has successively worked with the Pact 95 team, Young America BMW Oracle Racing, Luna Rossa and Team New Zealand and has recently designed Volvo Open 70s with Camper Emirates Team New Zealand. Biscontini''s experience in the world of the most competitive modern regattas has provided the Advanced 44 with an innovative hull shape: a plumb bow with a long fixed bowsprit for flying gennakers or Code Zeros and maximum beam carried all the way back to a strongly flared stern. These elements are all derived from Biscontini''s racing boat designs but also make the Advanced 44 extremely livable with a wide open stern area that is a real terrace on the sea, very enjoyable for day sailing trips and also during the kinds of short cruises that this boat can be used for.
