When the details make a difference
Aguacarbon has collaborated with Matteo Polli, one of the most authoritative designers in the ORC/IRC landscape, to develop a high-performance component that can optimize sailing behaviour and sail management.
The engineering intervention was precise and functional:
➡️ The length of the delphinary has been increased,
➡️ curvature has been redefined,
to achieve better alignment with bow geometries and optimize load distribution.
The result is a component that improves the dynamic reactivity of the boat and allows a more efficient management of the prow sails, especially in the limit conditions of offshore races.
The new dolphin is already on board Sugar, a boat that will participate in the Italian Absolute High Water Sailing Championship Edison Next 2025.
A real test, in a competitive environment of the highest level, to validate the optimization work carried out in synergy between design and production.
